A. pH Nah, sebelum masuk ke materi menentukan pH asam dan basa, ayo kita pahami terlebih dahulu pH itu apa. pH adalah kependekan dari bahasa inggris power of Hydrogen  yang jika dibahasa indonesiakan berarti kadar dari hidrogen. Isomer Optis Alkohol Alkohol mempunyai isomer optis, dimana isomer optis terjadi pada senyawa-senyawa yang dapat mengakibatkan terjadinya perputaran bidang polarisasi pada polarimeter (bersifat optis aktif). Senyawa yang bersifat optis aktif terjadi jika ada atom C yang asimetris atau biasa disebut C kiral. Artinya, atom C tersebut mengikat 4 atom/ gugus lain. Contohnya pada senyawa 2-butanol : Perhatikan, apakah C-1 mengikat 4 atom/gugus berbeda ? tidak,  C-1 mengikat 3 H dan 1 C.  Apakah C nomor 2 mengikat 4 atom/ gugus berbeda?
